Solar Assistant — overview without the cloud.
You connect the small Raspberry Pi computer to the inverter and the battery with a cable. It shows generation, consumption and the state of every cell, and keeps the data in your home — it does not have to go to the inverter manufacturer's servers.
What you will see
- Inverter output, solar generation, household consumption and grid import — the data refreshes every few seconds
- Battery: voltage, current, state of charge, temperatures and individual cell voltages
- History and charts of generation, consumption and the battery
- Access from phone and computer, on your home network and remotely
- Remote inverter settings, without walking over to its display
- Data output via MQTT — for example to Home Assistant or Loxone
Solar Assistant runs even without an internet connection. Remote access is optional.

Supported systems.
Inverters: we prepare the package for low-voltage Deye inverters and for Voltronic inverters, including our off-grid BAKOM MAX 11 kW TWIN. One unit can handle several inverters of the same brand connected in parallel.
Battery: a BAKOM battery with JK BMS. With BMS+ batteries (JK PB2A16S20P) connected in parallel, you only need to connect the main (master) battery — it passes on the data from the others.
Victron: for Victron systems we recommend Cerbo GX and the VRM portal instead — Solar Assistant does not read Victron MPPT charge controllers and cannot replace Cerbo GX for battery–inverter communication.
Solar Assistant is third-party software (solar-assistant.io). We supply the prepared hardware, licence, cabling and setup. We are happy to give you access to a live demo from a PV system monitored by Solar Assistant — just ask us for access.
