How we build

From cell to final test.

We build every battery by hand for a specific order. Here is what happens to it before it leaves the workshop.

Prismatic LiFePO₄ cells with busbars and terminal covers
01

EVE grade A cells

We use EVE prismatic LiFePO₄ cells — MB31 (320 Ah), LF280K (290 Ah) and LF105 (105 Ah) — in grade A quality. MB31 cells hold an IECEE CB certificate to IEC 62619 for industrial lithium batteries.

LiFePO₄ chemistry is one of the safest lithium technologies: it is resistant to thermal runaway and lasts thousands of cycles.

We measure every cell

We test every cell individually, measuring its capacity and internal resistance. Within one battery we combine cells with the smallest possible spread, because the weakest cell determines the capacity of the whole pack.

You receive the measurement results with the battery, in the cell capacity test report.

03

Hand assembly

We assemble the cells into a compression box, an AkuBox or an open assembly. The compression box keeps the cells clamped as recommended by the manufacturer — this benefits their service life, especially under high loads. The frame of the compression boxes is complemented by non-combustible CEMVIN fibre-cement boards (reaction to fire class A1).

  • Compression box — home PV systems, high loads
  • AkuBox — enclosed housing for motorhomes, cabins and places accessible to people
  • Open assembly — for installation in a dedicated space

BMS configured for your inverter

The battery is managed by a JK BMS with a 2 A active balancer. It monitors overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and the temperature of each cell, and balances the cells continuously.

We set the protection limits at the factory according to the battery type. We configure communication (CAN or RS485) and the protocol for the inverter you specify when ordering — so once connected, the battery talks to the inverter on its own.

Heating film on an insulating board for a battery with HEAT heating
05

Heating for winter

In batteries with heating (HEAT variants) we fit a heating film onto the insulating boards. The BMS switches the heating on when the cell temperature drops to +1 °C and off above +4 °C. It allows charging only once the cells have warmed up — so the battery copes with an unheated space or a motorhome in winter.

06

Final test and handover

We test the finished battery and record it in our register under the serial number shown on its label and in the app. Only then do we send the invoice — and once it is paid, we ship the battery or hand it over in person.

  • Cell capacity test report
  • Manual in Czech and warranty certificate
  • BAKOM BMS app for battery monitoring and remote support
Where we build

Two workshops, one standard.

We build our batteries in Svrčovec near Klatovy and in Krmelín near Ostrava. You can collect your battery in person from either workshop by appointment.

Because we build to order and demand is high, we keep an order queue. We will confirm the current lead time in our quote — the reservation is non-binding and we do not ask for a deposit.
